Who we are:
Simply Desserts specializes in custom wedding and special occasion cakes that are not only delicious, but gorgeous as well. In addition to cakes, we make cupcakes, cookies and other sweet treats. Special occasions that we provide our desserts for are: anniversaries, birthdays, baby/bridal showers, bar/bat mitzvah, just because.
How it all began:
After baking for many years as a hobby, Kathy decided to leave her career (as an Environmental Public Health Specialist) to pursue her dreams of becoming a professional pastry chef. To that end, she enrolled at Baltimore International College (now Strayer University), where she received a degree in professional cooking and baking.
Kathy realized her dream of owning her own boutique bakeshop when she opened Simply Desserts in 2002 in Columbia, MD. Today, Simply Desserts is known for providing customized delicious desserts, with personalized customer service. This is evidenced by the repeat customers she has provided service to throughout the years.
